All of the artwork in this installation ties two aesthetic modes together: the mode of geology and climate (caves, clouds, landscapes), and the mode of human-made form (architectural models, design, isometric systems). My aesthetic goal is to meld, mutate, and juxtapose these disparate ideas into something that is perhaps uncanny, chimerical, or simply other than what came before.
The duration of this installation will last six months. As time goes on, I will add and subtract artwork from the art case. I will also post companion sound works that you can listen to while viewing the artwork at the art case, or here on this page.STONE PAVILION, 2016-17
